Welcome Home 0.2 - Fearful Update


Welcome to my Devlog! Quite a few changes and additions were made. Especially to the UI and to the monster.

**NEW**

  • There's an actual fear meter on the screen now! It was there initially when the project was in early development, but I hid it because I felt it would give away too much information. But I found it unintuitive for players to see lights as healing zones without it, so I brought it back.
  • A visual stamina bar was added to the UI.
  • The monster has more facial expressions to spook you. They're randomized every time she appears.
  • Added a game over screen for when you perish. 

**CHANGES**

  • Hunts can no longer be stopped by filling up a basket. To stop them, you must either find light, or survive long enough for her to stop.
  • The monster now has a small chance to spawn, even in the early stages. This chance increases as you progress.
  • During hunts, the monster can speed up quite significantly. This happens when you look at her. Be careful.
  • Spotlights don't stay on for as long, and the cooldown between them is also a bit longer.
  • The music box now sounds like an actual music box. 
  • Candy is more abundant. Especially in the early stages.

**FIXES**

  • Fixed a bug where the monster would appear while the player was looking at them (they should only appear off-screen)

There are probably some other details that I'm missing that were fixed/changed, but for the most noticeable part, I believe that's all!
